Crew Moves

Purpose · why we exist
Film & TV crews keep the whole industry running on brutal hours — and their own body is the first thing that gets cut from the schedule. Crew Moves exists to keep the crew strong, energized, and durable across long shoots, so the work doesn't cost them their health.
Mission · what we do
Help the people who run the set lose fat, build strength, and sustain energy through long, irregular shoot days — with training that's realistic, sustainable, and built for the way production actually works.
Who it's for
Below-the-line film & TV crew in the NY/NJ tri-state — G&E, grips, camera, art, AD, sound, hair/makeup, wardrobe, PAs. People on their feet 12–16 hours, on irregular schedules, doing physical work, with no room for a "normal" gym life.
Who it's not for · the discipline
Not above-the-line talent — different budget line, different world. Not general-population fitness. Not aesthetics-first, "summer body" coaching. This exclusion is an asset, not a limit: narrowing to the crew is exactly what earns the right to speak in insider language everywhere else. (Note: paid B2B gigs can serve whoever books — the marketing targets crew, the corporate work doesn't have to.)
Positioning · how we're different
Not a gym that happens to have film clients — a film-world brand that happens to do fitness. The edge is three things stacked: deep industry specificity (call time, wrap, crafty, the real schedule), a founder genuinely from the biz, and a live community that proves it in person.
Positioning statement
For the crew that keeps production moving, Crew Moves is strength-and-energy training built for life on set — because generic fitness plans don't survive a 14-hour day.
Personality
A strong, dependable crew member who also happens to know training. Tough but warm — grit with real care, the way the imagery is daylight, not cold.
What we believe
The philosophy, codified — these double as content themes:
Vision · where it goes
The default fitness home for film & TV crew — starting tri-state, laddering from free events to coaching to on-set services, into a community people are proud to belong to.
The name
Crew Moves carries two readings at once: the crew moves (movement, training, momentum) and moves for the crew (it belongs to them). "Crew" pinpoints the audience — the below-the-line workforce. And it shares the "moves" root with the founder channel @sohaillamoves: company and face, one family, no rename needed.

Voice · how it always sounds
A tap on the shoulder from someone who gets it — never a sales pitch. Plain words, short sentences, spoken from inside the industry. Lead with the person and the outcome, not the program mechanics. Confident, never hypey. A little dry humor is welcome; exclamation-mark energy is not.
Messaging pillars · the things we say over and over
- Built for the industry's realityIrregular hours, long days, no normal routine. We train around the schedule, not against it.
- Strength is the foundationDurability and energy come from getting strong — not from punishing yourself with cardio.
- Simple and sustainableA few habits done consistently beat a perfect plan you can't keep.
- From the insideBuilt by someone who knows the set, so the advice actually fits how you work.
- It's a crewCommunity and identity keep you going. You're not doing this alone.
